Running the Extra Mile for Hungry Kids – Ron Cormier

Ron Cormier runs a half marathon every Sunday. He can do it in any kind of weather, given the climate in New Brunswick, Canada. What Ron could not do, was sit by when his Knights Council was approached by a local school and asked to help provide meals for impoverished children without lunches. As he was about to run his first full marathon in New York, Ron came up with the idea for Lunchbox Grandpa. With help from his Brother Knights, he used his run to help fundraise for meals at the school for an entire year.

Jim Wahlberg’s youth was filled with brokenness. In his formative years, he learned how to steal cars, break and enter, became homeless by age 12, and succumbed to addiction.
