When Knights from San Eugenio de Mazenod Council 17299 in Miramar, Florida, realized that many families in their community could not afford to sign up their kids for soccer clubs, they decided to create a free youth soccer program. Almost 200 children participated in the first session in October 2019. The program has been such a hit that the Knights now run it year-round, teaching teamwork, supporting parents and building up their parish community. California Knights Give Back

Since 1979, members of Father Frank Colacicco Council 4060 of Danville, California, have provided food baskets to those in need during the Christmas season. An initiative that started with just a few boxes has grown over four decades into a project that provides hundreds of food baskets and wrapped gifts for families in the Bay Area. “You realize in life that you can’t always be a taker, you’ve got to be a giver,” said council member Darren Gutierres. “This is our opportunity to give back.” Become a Knight today: http://kofc.org/join Subscribe now to keep up with the Knights! http://bit.ly/SubscribeKnightsOfColumbus Stay connected on social media: https://www.facebook.com/KnightsofColumbus https://twitter.com/kofc https://www.instagram.com/kofc_official Visit us at: http://www.kofc.org
