In doing so, they prepared 1400 coats for distribution to schools in the greater New Haven area, with 350 of those going to kids in their own parish. Members of St. Benedict Council 12290 in Anchorage handed out almost 500 coats to kids in need at a back-to-school event organized by the city’s police department.
