Volunteers and Special Guest worked to Distribute over 600 warm winter coats to the children of this Mission. Brother Knights Rescue Nuns and Parish Priest following Hurricane Ian

In September 2022, Hurricane Ian struck the Fort Myers area with devastating winds and flooding. The storm surge toppled the 8-foot walls of the Poor Clare Nuns’ San Damiano Monastery, trapping the sisters and their parish pastor. Knowing they would still be at the Monastery, local Knights trekked to the island that is home to the monastery and rescued the Poor Clares and their pastor, who had been trapped for four days.
