The storm surge toppled the 8-foot walls of the Poor Clare Nuns’ San Damiano Monastery, trapping the sisters and their parish pastor. Knowing they would still be at the Monastery, local Knights trekked to the island that is home to the monastery and rescued the Poor Clares and their pastor, who had been trapped for four days. Knights Provide Aid to Victims of Canadian Wildfires

In spring 2023, devasting wildfires raged across Canada, engulfing millions of acres of forests. In response, the Supreme Council provided gift cards and $50,000 in aid to remote communities in Northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories. State Deputy Gaston Launière drove over 1,500 km through the Canadian north to deliver that aid. Natural disasters, like the Canadian wildfires, can happen anytime and anywhere.
