He had been a 64-year member of Father Roach Council 3217. Her humor was peppered with emotion as she led the Supreme Knight through the devastated remains of her home. Despite the flood, McBride plans on rebuilding and making her home there once again. In spring 2023, devasting wildfires raged across Canada, engulfing millions of acres of forests. In response, the Supreme Council provided gift cards and $50,000 in aid to remote communities in Northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories. State Deputy Gaston Launière drove over 1,500 km through the Canadian north to deliver that aid. Natural disasters, like the Canadian wildfires, can happen anytime and anywhere.
