1,000 Coats for Kids in Nebraska! On November 12, 2016 the Nebraska Knights of Columbus provided over 1,000 new coats to youth in need throughout the city. With the distribution falling on the date of a Husker football home game, the Knights created a tailgate experience for the youth and their families, as former NFL player Chris Bober and the 1972 Heisman Trophy Winner Johnny Rodgers, helped distribute the coats. Brother Knights Rescue Nuns and Parish Priest following Hurricane Ian

In September 2022, Hurricane Ian struck the Fort Myers area with devastating winds and flooding. The storm surge toppled the 8-foot walls of the Poor Clare Nuns’ San Damiano Monastery, trapping the sisters and their parish pastor. Knowing they would still be at the Monastery, local Knights trekked to the island that is home to the monastery and rescued the Poor Clares and their pastor, who had been trapped for four days.
