Since 1982, Knights in Council 1489 in Rapid City, South Dakota have organized a Thanksgiving dinner for people in need in their community. At the 40th annual event this year, councils from all over South Dakota came together to feed more than 1,200 people. The annual event provides community and camaraderie during what might otherwise be a time of loneliness for those in need.
