The Knights of Columbus played an integral role for a one-of-a-kind Mass of the Holy Spirit held at US Bank Stadium (home of the Minnesota Vikings). More than 12,000 fourth through eighth grade students from the 79 Catholic elementary schools in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis attended the Mass to kick off the new school year. The theme of the Mass was “faith in action” as students were asked to donate a winter clothing item (hat, glove, scarf, and coats) to the Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids Drive. Knights from more than 20 Minnesota councils were on hand at the Mass to assist with the collection of the winter items, which were brought up during the offertory to be blessed by the archbishop. These items, along with 1,000 new winter coats donated by the Knights of Columbus, will be distributed by local councils to locations in the five dioceses throughout the state of Minnesota, just in time for winter.

The question left Sister at the end of the experience was, what now? Join Sister Grace Dominic as she explores the Saint John Paul II Shrine in Washington, DC, reflecting on the saint who helped inspire her vocation to religious life.
