Cuando joven, el padre Richard Conlin quería ser un golfista profesional. Destacaba en el deporte, pero según él, “el golf era mi Dios, en cierto sentido”. Luego, un día en la universidad, la madre de Richard le pidió que fuera a confesarse y él obedeció. Al recibir la absolución sintió alegría y una paz que “dirigió mi corazón en un camino completamente nuevo”. En lugar de jugar golf, ahora quería ayudar a otros a tener la misma experiencia. Conlin ingresó al seminario y fue ordenado el 11 de diciembre del 2020 durante el año de san José. Ejemplifica su vocación siguiendo los pasos del padre adoptivo de Cristo, esforzándose para ser un padre espiritual de aquellos a quienes sirve.
