On April 22, 1910, Notre Dame Knights of Columbus Council 1477 was chartered as the first college council in the Order. Since then, we have added 398 new college councils and over 38,000 college Knights worldwide. Today over 5,000 college knights do incredible work every day on 150 campuses across north America. 2023 Outstanding College Council: Catholic University of America

Catholic University of America’s Council 9542 has been awarded First Place for Outstanding College Council for 2023. The Council is very active on campus, having organized a vocations fair for over 30 religious communities to come to campus, running a Baby Bottle Drive as part of the Knights’ ASAP program, and being very active in the March for Life. The College Knights have also run a Hunger and Homelessness Awareness 5K, a Solidarity and Suffering Week, and Holy Hours during Lent to support the Eucharistic Revival.
