In 2011, SGT Adam Farabaugh was deployed to Afghanistan. While on duty, he and his unit were ambushed, resulting in injuries to his back and heart from exploded shrapnel. In addition to the physical injuries he sustained, he also has PTSD. SGT Farabaugh’s wife sought to help him find healing and a new beginning and applied to the Warriors to Lourdes Pilgrimage. Their entry was accepted, and they journeyed to France, rekindling their faith and the decision to have their son baptized and raised in the Church.
