Denver Broncos Help Distribute Coats to Children in Need

The Knights of Columbus and members of the Denver Broncos joined forces to distribute coats to kids on a snowy day in Denver. Launched in 2009, the K of C "Coats for Kids" program has already provided more than 170,000 new coats to children in need. Knights Aid in Bahamas Disaster Relief Efforts

The Island of Abaco was devastated when Hurricane Dorian passed through the Bahamas in 2019. Knights in Louisiana, having faced Hurricane Laura last year, offered their remaining stockpile of disaster relief supplies to the island. Working with councils in Florida, they coordinated the shipment of 18 pallets of MREs (Meals Ready to Eat) to local residents in Abaco. Healing Haiti's Children Haiti was devastated by an earthquake Jan. 12, 2010. More than 300,000 people died and an equal number were injured. More than 1 million Haitians were left homeless. The Knights of Columbus has pledged to aid every Haitian child who lost a limb in the January 2010 earthquake that destroyed much of their country and claimed nearly a quarter of a million lives. Many thousands more were seriously injured, including hundreds of children who lost arms and legs in the tragedy. The Knights of Columbus has taken a special interest in helping those injured in Haiti. In cooperation with Project Medishare, the Healing Haiti's Children program pledges to provide prosthetics to every child who lost a limb as a result of the earthquake.
